Poem of the Luckless
being a tragic tale of the fates of many unfortunate members of a family

Once there was a missus
who loved her narcissus
she married a man named Sirius
and died on Sunday in Toys R Us.

They had a child named Augustus
who became a clown in a circus
he wrote sonnets, he rode a hippopotamus
and married a dancer named Brutus.

They had a friend named Julius
Ah alas, what a man - a genius!
He was egregious, he was sensuous
he died singing the songs of Rufus.

Julius had a brother, Titus
who loved a girl with eight toesus
sadly, her toes had fungus
so Titus left her for someone curvaceous.

Sirius had a hippocampus
her name was Hippoaminopeptidalactosapus (how odious)
she watched Spielberg, she watched George Lucas
she filmed her life with an Ixus.

Sirius was devastated, he was bonkers
when he knew of the death of Hippoaminopeptidalactosapus
he married a woman named Herodotus
killed her because she was obnoxious
and forevermore her body lies in Toys R Us.

Read through half of my old posts last night. I seem to be getting these phases of writing bad poetry off and on throughout the year. Wonder how long this will last.

Never knew how good the Arctic Monkeys sound like. (Heh Chin Lei, now I finally see your point :) Didn't like the few I've heard before. New band to listen to! My god, their guitars!
