Are you beginning to get my point

And all this like a message comes to shift my point of view
And watching through my own light as it tints the shade of you

~ Sleep, Azure Ray

That was from The Devil Wears Prada OST by the way. But it's good!

Went hunting for people and poems today. Found Adrienne Rich, who was something of a rival of Plath's. Her winning of Yale Series of Younger Poets prize was mentioned in Plath's journal; she herself admitted that she had wanted to win. I think they were friends for a short time. Anyway, an essay by Rich here: Compulsory Heterosexuality and Lesbian Existence. Not too sure about the lesbianism, but she does have some points on male dominance...

Still waiting. Waiting waiting waiting. It's heady, this anticipation, the speculations, the rad-thud-thud of heartbeats counting down the minutes. Ten...nine...eight...

I'm trying to prepare myself for The End. If anything bad should happen - if anything really terrible should happen - remember: We're with you whatever happens.

Are you beginning to get my point
There are always fighting with aching joints
It's doing nothing but tire us out
No one knows what this fight's about
